Pro-Jobs
Legislators Critical To Better Kansas Biz Climate
During the 2007
Kansas Legislative Session, a number of Pro-Jobs Legislators distinguished
themselves through their votes and their actions to support the tenets of
free enterprise and to move Kansas towards becoming the best state in
America for small businesses.
"The Chamber's Pro-Jobs Legislators come from all corners of the
state," says Interim CEO Terry Leatherman. "As part of The Chamber's
efforts to hold legislators accountable for votes that impact the business
climate in Kansas, we want to take an extra step to recognize them
positively and publicly for their pro-business support," he adds.
The Chamber encourages members to let their individual legislators know
how appreciative our Kansas employers are for the support of Pro-Jobs
Legislators.
"These Pro-Jobs Kansas Legislators are absolutely vital to the many
lobbying successes that The Chamber has achieved for small business this
year specifically, to lower business taxes as well as Unemployment
Compensation taxes," Leatherman says.
To make The Kansas Chamber's list of pro-business legislators,
policy-makers exhibit a supportive voting record that reflects a
pro-employer approach to public policy decisions as well as exhibit a
behind-the-scenes leadership approach to improving the Kansas business
climate.
Pro-Jobs Legislators are helping The Chamber to move Kansas towards
becoming the best state in America to do business by reducing the costs of
doing business in order to allow our companies to become more productive.
The following Kansas Legislators are The Chamber's Pro-Jobs Legislators
for the 2007 session of the Kansas Legislature.
