Chamber PAC supports and endorses incumbent state legislators and
other candidates for state office who support The Kansas
Chamber’s legislative agenda, promote the tenets of
the free enterprise system, and pledge to make Kansas a better
place in which to do business. Chamber PAC receives funding from
members of The Kansas Chamber Board of Directors, Kansas Chamber
members and employees, business-oriented PACs and other
businesspeople throughout Kansas. All contributions to
Chamber PAC are voluntary. Chamber PAC is registered with the
Kansas Secretary of State and has its principal office at The
Kansas Chamber of Commerce, 835 S.W. Topeka, Blvd., Topeka, KS
66612-1671.
By supporting Chamber PAC you will help to elect officials who
understand the fundamental role that business plays in the
economic health of Kansas and who will promote measures that
lower the cost of doing business in Kansas. We need more
elected officials in
Kansas who
will lead the charge for the business agenda at the statehouse
in Topeka.
With your backing, Chamber PAC is a leading business political
action committee in Kansas. Chamber PAC is also a bell-weather
political action committee, relied upon by companies and other
business organizations to determine political giving strategies.
In the next election cycle Chamber PAC and its allies will raise
and contribute another $1,000,000 to support and elect
pro-business candidates for office. Your contribution to
ChamberPAC will also keep pro-business legislation alive. Right
now the well-funded trial lawyers and organized labor are
pulling out all the stops to defeat our agenda – if they win,
Kansas businesses will lose!
Please join other business leaders in making certain that your
Chamber has the resources to impact the critical upcoming
elections in November.

The Kansas
Chamber advocates an aggressive business agenda in the
Legislature. A superior lobbying team, forceful communications
initiatives, and meaningful data that resonates with a growing
number of the state’s policy-makers backed that advocacy.
The Chamber is leading a number of statewide initiatives to
lower the costs of doing business in Kansas:
1.
Decrease Business Tax Burden
2. Improve Legal Climate
3. Manage Rising Cost of Health Care
4. Enact Workers Compensation Changes
5. Reduce Unemployment Compensation Costs
Elections Are
Critical to The Business Climate
So it
is critical that we elect strong business-oriented candidates in
every competitive race. In our representative society,
individuals and businesses can either choose to be effective
participants in the development of public policies or victims of
government shaped by others – because our politics shape our
public policies. Today, when laws and regulations impact every
aspect of the conduct of commerce, being a politically active
business is as essential as having a business plan.
And like any good business, Chamber PAC is built on a simple, yet
solid premise: to identify, endorse and elect to the Kansas
Legislature champions of free enterprise. There is no role more
critical for business than that of keeping our nation and our
state economically strong by creating jobs, expanding
opportunities for all Americans to participate in the economy,
encouraging entrepreneurship, and strengthening our
competitiveness.
Government cannot produce wealth or jobs, but it can foster an
environment in which wealth and jobs can be created and the
economy allowed to prosper and grow. Government should minimize
the cost and scope of the regulatory burden it imposes, take
from the productive private sector only those tax revenues it
truly needs, and exercise fiscal restraint in its own spending
practices. Chamber PAC makes that happen for Kansas business.
The well-funded trial lawyers and organized labor will attempt
to buy the elections for their own special interest candidates.
We can’t let that happen.
