The Kansas Chamber
The Kansas Chamber.  Achieve More.

The Kansas Chamber of Commerce is moving Kansas towards becoming the best state in America to do business.

The member-driven Chamber’s strength comes from thousands of Kansas employers, including small, medium and large businesses that range from one-person firms to multi-national companies with thousands of employees. The Chamber listens to its membership, forms policy and a legislative agenda and then takes the issues and concerns of Kansas businesses directly to the policy-makers at the Statehouse in Topeka.

To achieve more, the State Chamber partners with other pro-business organizations and local chambers of commerce to develop policy initiatives to grow the economy and provide more employment opportunities. Working together, we can achieve success that would be impossible alone.

The Kansas Chamber’s Annual 2010 Legislative Agenda's focus on the key issues impacting Kansas employers, and creating a more positive business climate in the state.

We work on all of these issues and more so that Kansas business can reach the next level. On behalf of Kansas businesses, the state chamber is ever vigilant at the Statehouse in Topeka.

Politically Active

To be effective in the Capitol in Topeka, the Kansas Chamber screens candidates for their views on business, encourages pro-business candidates to run for office, and provides campaign support to get them elected. The Kansas Chamber PAC is the financial avenue by which the business community can support candidates who work to make Kansas the best place to do business, and strong member support makes it one of the most successful organizations of its kind in the state. It is just one of many ways that the Chamber, its members and member organizations work together to accomplish the goal of making Kansas the best state to do business. Chamber Programs

The Kansas Chamber’s signature leadership growth program -- Leadership Kansas – cultivates new business and government leaders for our state by giving them critical firsthand exposure to the important issues of the day confronting business and government. It is regarded as one of the nation’s top leadership programs. Leadership Kansas benefits are as diverse as the participants. Graduates gain enhanced communication skills, creativity, exposure to future business trends, and they expand their thought processes. (See www.leadershipkansas.org)

The Kansas Chamber of Commerce Executives program promotes networking, training and higher professional standards for the men and women working in their communities for the many chambers across the state.

The Kansas Retail Council represents the interests of Chamber members in the retail sector of business.

The Kansas Industrial Council represents the interests of Chamber members in the industrial sector of business.

The Chamber’s Annual Dinner every year in Topeka is the largest statewide gathering of business and government leaders that has become the defining event of the Kansas Legislative Session. In 2009, noted political commentator Tucker Carlson is to be the keynote speaker. Membership in the Kansas Chamber brings those benefits and many others. None is greater, perhaps, than the powerful potential to achieve more that the Chamber represents.

With the backing of Kansas employers, The Kansas Chamber listens to business and then takes the business message directly to everyone who needs to hear it in Topeka. Please join the Chamber as it works on behalf of business at the Capitol. Because together, we can Achieve More. And so can all Kansans.
