July 25, 2014

Topeka, Kan. (July 23, 2014) - The Kansas Chamber is pleased to announce the hiring of Reynaldo Mesa to serve as the Senior Director of Government Affairs. Mesa will serve as part of the Chamber’s advocacy team at the Kansas Statehouse and be responsible for advancing policies approved each year by the Chamber Board of Directors.

Mesa served in the Kansas House from 2010 to 2012, representing Garden City’s 123rd district where he was a member of the House Utilities & Energy, Transportation & Safety, and Commerce & Economic Development Committees.

“I could not be more pleased to announce the addition of Rey Mesa to our team,” said Mike O’Neal, President & CEO of the Kansas Chamber. O’Neal added “Rey has extensive private sector experience, and proven leadership as an extremely popular and effective public servant for the people of Garden City. From running the Garden City Chamber, to serving as Commissioner and Mayor, to his time in the Kansas Legislature, Rey will be able to immediately contribute to advancing the Kansas Chamber mission. Garden City will be losing a great public servant but Kansas will be gaining an experienced advocate with a solid statewide reputation."
