Emily Mitchell Named Director of Communications and Special Events at the Kansas Chamber of Commerce

Topeka, Kan. (January 2, 2013) - Mike O’Neal, President and CEO of the Kansas Chamber, announced recently that Emily Mitchell has been named the organization's Director of Communications and Special Events. Mitchell has served as the Executive Assistant at the Kansas Chamber since April 2011.

“I am excited to have Emily as our Director of Communications and Special Events and know she will do an exceptional job," said President and CEO, Mike O’Neal. "We look forward to her leadership and commitment to furthering the Kansas Chamber's mission” added O’Neal.

Mitchell has lived in Topeka since 2008, and was recently married to her husband Nicholas Mitchell in September 2012. Prior to that she lived in Manhattan, Kansas, where she attended Kansas State University.  In this new position, Emily will conduct the public affairs and communications for the organization as well as developing and implementing all special events.
