Topeka, Kan. (January 2, 2013) - The Kansas Chamber and members of the Kansas Business Coalition for Immigration Reform will host a breakfast for legislators with special guest Grover Norquist.

As the president of Americans for Tax Reform, Mr. Norquist has led the conservative charge to limit the size and cost of government, and to oppose higher taxes at the federal, state and local levels.

While much of his work centers around tax policy, Grover has also been active in the debate on immigration policy. Mr. Norquist will explain why restrictionist policies are harmful and will share his views on what makes good policy.

"We are bringing Mr. Norquist to Kansas so legislators can hear what real immigration reform should look like," said Mike O'Neal, President & CEO of the Kansas Chamber. "Each year, the business coalition has been forced to oppose harmful, anti-business legislation pushed as the only solution to this country's, and Kansas', immigration woes. Mr. Norquist's insight will give lawmakers a fresh perspective into what direction this country should head as it searches for a solution to the broken and inefficient immigration system," O'Neal added.

The breakfast will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Maner Conference Center Shawnee Ballroom from 8:00 to 9:00 AM.
