Discovering Business Potential Focus of 2022 Kansas Minority Business Summit

Discovering a business’ potential is the focus of the 2022 Kansas Minority Business Summit (KMB).

The KMB will take place on Tuesday, April 12th, at the Garden City Community College (GCCC) in Garden City, KS, with a satellite location at the Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) as well as an option to attend virtually.

Hosted by the GCCC, the KCKCC, and Kansas Chamber, this is the fourth year for the summit.

“As our country begins to come out of the pandemic, the business community is still assessing how to fully recover, especially minority-owned businesses,” said Alan Cobb, President and CEO of the Kansas Chamber. “Our goal is that minority business owners invest in a day of conversation and networking with experts and supporters so they leave with a list of resources and ideas on how they can overcome disruptions and discover the true potential of themselves and their businesses.”

Keynote speaker Vercie Lark, recently appointed U.S. Small Business Administration Regional Administrator for the Great Plains Region, will share about his experience as an angel investor and mentoring small business owners across the Midwest.

The summit’s agenda also includes networking opportunities and a number of discussions, including a panel focused on how minority business owners and entrepreneurs can navigate government rules and regulations. Those on the panel include:
