Kansas Chamber to Celebrate 100th Anniversary

Topeka, KAN. – The Kansas Chamber will celebrate the organization’s 100th year of advocating for the state’s business community in 2024.

“The Kansas Chamber reached this important milestone because of the ongoing commitment and strong support of our members,” said Chamber President and CEO Alan Cobb. “We are fortunate to have worked with thousands of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and elected officials who believed Kansas needed a competitive business environment so every business and Kansan could succeed.”

In 1924, local chambers from across the state recognized the need for better state

highways and came together to form the Kansas Association of Chambers Commerce.

100 years and several name changes later, the Kansas Chamber continues to be the

leading advocate for Kansas businesses.

“Our state is home to businesses – many who have been open for more than 100 years – whose ingenuity and craftsmanship have impacted millions around the world. I always am impressed to learn how the Kansas Chamber worked along side them to keep their operations going through the good and bad times – depressions, tornadoes and floods, and world wars,” Cobb said.

Cobb said the Chamber will celebrate its 100th anniversary throughout 2024 with historical look backs, special gatherings, and recognition of members.
